The drip-dry feeling of depression hit me once as a child I moved about and set forth on my way through life Then again it was back the depression that I thought that I had lost so long ago As I turn with all the problems of the world resting on my back I let the depression in I let it seep into my soul and take over my life The depression follows me always carries me- holds me- hurts me For awhile I enjoyed it I like being overcome by a feeling that I couldn't control Then it started to bring me down choke me- suffocate me- drown me It wanted to be me I wanted it to be me As I slept a light hit me told me to follow it To feel it As I followed I found myself again as if all a dream to feel so low so worthless- so unloved It was all in my head The light calls my name and releases a mystery to me A life yet unknown before It fills me with joy and makes me whole again A voice tells me to live in the light love the light be the light share the light Suddenly, I didn't feel like me I felt like it lighter, more free, more intelligent I realize that it wasn't a dream My life had changed for the better It hasn't changed back since The touch of the light helps me to understand things Things that all seems a fantasy to me I feel all brand new as I take my first step back into The Light. Love, Lady Live in my world just once and you'll find yourself enraptured. |
