Funny Thing

just an ordinary day
reaching in my closet for a shirt
found a new one i`d only worn once
pulled it on and kept on moving
standing in front of my mirror
zipper`s up,pants on straight

what`s that on my sleeve?
oh just a hair
but wait, its not too long
but definitely longer than mine
also kind of wispy almost fine

then sunlight struck the shaft
and the memory came flooding back...

the wind from the sunroof lifted it
and i remembered
how beautiful you were

i ran my fingers through it
and said my God it`s thick

that single strand held me in rapt fascination
the color of a precious metal
divided with tawny bands of brown
it fairly sparkled
with golden color bright

and then another emotion grabbed me
and i found myself missing you
funny about the little things isn`t it

this poem is gorgeous.

it is full of emotion.
it reminded me of a situation i was in a while ago.

so pure , fascinating and engrossing . i thought it was only me who found the little things the most significant.

Through all of the thick and thin I have gone through there is one of these moments you speak of that will never leave my heart, and I thank you for sharing this poem for it shows how importain the little things are.
