Sitting alone on the beach Your heart no longer within reach I am here watching the rising of the sun Its beauty is second to none The sand is cool on my skin My mind starts to spin I watch the sun reflect on the bay It shimmers and gleams each and every way The cool breeze sends ripples over the lake It chills me and I start to shake Before me is your image now Are you a mirage or here somehow I see you walk along the water's edge To love you always was my pledge This has all been a dream Not as real as it seems I am here on the shore Wishing there could have been more Looking all around My heart begins to pound I really thought you'd come back My world wouldn't be so black I miss you being there today Maybe we could find another way ----------------------------------------------------- Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Ah Lone wolf, such great description of a morning on the beach, too bad it had to have such a mournful cry -- Well written. Thanks for sharing. Teresa King www.tipsfortop.com |

Teresa, Thank you. Love the beach, but guess it is kind of bittersweet. Lots of memories there. You are welcome for sharing. Maybe it can be different.... ![]() Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Smith |

I can feel this one tearing deep inside. This poem takes me there. Very special and very sad. I relate to your name. Lone Wolf. My e-mail name is mountain recluse. Lone Wolf has a special mournful feel to it. Excellent name, if a person is feeling that way. |

Jeffrey, Thanks....happy to oblige. ![]() Rosemary, Thank you and it does tear deep. I feel sad about the whole thing. As for my name, it is a perfect fit I think. I can relate to yours too. Yes, it is how I feel. Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Smith |

Lone Wolf - Beautiful, my friend! Investing your heart and soul in a relationship, and then having it end, can make you feel emotionally bankrupt. I'm glad that you are able to get your feelings out in your poetry. I hope it helps you as much as it helps me to do that! ![]() Troy Beautiful, Thought-Provoking Poetry http://www.h-systems.net/p1.htm[/URL] |
