BEAUTY You may think beauty can be seen. It can be seen, and it can make you feel like it is taking you to a wonderful, distant place. But how wonderful does that place prove to be? And just how far away is it? By looks you can only find beauty that is pleasing to the eyes though. What good is physical beauty if there is nothing underneath to back it up? If this was all that beauty was then paying the high price for beauty would be vanity. It is much better to find inner beauty which pleases the heart, then trying to just please your eyes. A beautiful appearance is just a shell. Can it be easily cracked because it is just a frail outer layer? No, let its roots run deeper than that and support the beauty I can see. You can spend your time striving find one that is beautiful. You can use your effort and find beauty but if it proves to be only on the surface then you have used your time and effort all in vain. But no, there is more to beauty. It can be found by prying those shells open and peering inside. That beauty that you find can give you happiness even if happiness you have never known. It can help you to look at yourself and find how far your beauty goes. It can help you to find new leaves to turn over and finally let your true self come bursting forth. Much, much more can be found than that vain beauty but only in a special one. Beauty, what a lovly word. But who is one that can be called beautiful? A person who can take your mind and run with it to a distant, blissful place. One who can take your cloudy days and turn them into wonderful skies of blue |

Welcome to Passions FreeSoul this piece has made quite a statement. Thanks for sharing - finding true beauty is quite a quest. It is a wise person indeed who knows that beauty is only skin deep. Keep on writing. I will be looking for more. Teresa King |

Freesoul, Welcome to Passions. A good first post. You touch upon a very important subject. I was taught, while dating, to choose with my ears and not my eyes. If you really seek an inner beauty, listen(or read). From the overflow of the heart....the mouth speaks. INclan |
