Restless My tortured mind trys to escape The vision of him My love for him It will not escape with sleep For as soon as I close my eyes There he is The sames dreams that kept me alive So very long ago, it seems Are now just another insturment of torture For so long now I have been restless My mind races My heart is broken And my soul feels dead As I vainly try To move ahead The events of that day Play over in my head Over and over and over I have it memorized And as I try to see What is so terrible about me I wish for rest I don't care in what form it comes I just want rest I want him out of my head I want him out of my heart I want the dying in my soul to stop I want to stop loving him... Though I know you will move on from this love and find love anew in someone else, I do have to agree that some loves remain in your heart for a lifetime.... tucked in the corner of my heart is a boy I loved when I was sixteen... I'll die loving him still... though I've loved since and hope someday to love again... Very good poem LoveBug.. |
