As Thanatos doth toll death's knell,
No mourner's tears, nor griever's wail,
O' hear ye not, as echoes bell,
Can't pierce dense mist of sinless veil.
So sad, so strange, in darkness lay,
Amid the din; noiseless clatter,
In formless shroud, no dirges play,
Amid the glitz; hopeless tatter.
With muted screams the angels cry,
As hear them not the multitude,
Why do thee not in ire decry,
The death of lamb, gods' wrath exude?
O' seraphim, thy luminance,
Doth fade to night, sans innocence.

Your versatility is just astounding sometimes, ya know??

You've forced me to accept the real possibility that tetrametric sonnets just might have some credibility...

This is really, really good, my friend..

Mike this is great!  Thanks. I don't see
much of this style much any longer. I hope
it is not a dying art.
