Posts 178I'm a wanderer, a nomad...I don't live in one particular area, Just wherever I end up. |
She wakes up in the late afternoon Her makeup still on from the night before She runs to the mirror, fixes it up She tends to know what the day holds in store... She's lonely in the nights cold air Wishing for her love to come to her rescue He makes her feel like a cowards opposite He makes her want to be alive. She stares at the sky in an appreciative balance Telling the Mother she is alright She wishes she could make everything better But she feels so small compared to all of the trouble she's caused. She embraces love as a holieness But sins against it like a disgruntled catholic She hates with a passion only others can dream about She hates her self most of all. If she were to shed a tear for every love she's lost Her tears would last a lifetime If she were to smile for each happy day Her smiles would last a brief moment She cries for herself, she cries for others Only one thing can stop the tears from flowing She crucify's herself for the one she loves While he drives the nails into her heart She lives for others Not for herself Would they be this strong without her? She smiles only in darkness' shadow Just to have the light shine on her face.... For all these reasons and more He knows he loves her He tries her patience He tries her temper She still stands by him She still can see him She's the one he loves He's the one she worships..... *This is still yet another work in progress...so please bear with me P.S. I'm still working on the title, it's not the final decision, so any suggestions you can give would be much appreciated! "It was my love that did us both to death. " -Sylvia Plath |
