Beauty Surrounds Me

So breath taking is the beauty
of the snow covered mountains
I find it hard to describe
the scenery that surrounds me.

Solitude shut off from others
I can inhale the smells of nature
Its virgin terriortory untouched
by man made creations.

I can hear the wings of humming birds
as they flitter by my head
The whispering of the stream
as at flows gently by me feet.

I reach my hands upward
trying to grasp the colors of the sky
to capture the lovely hues it has
to keep them imprisoned in my mind.

Colors so vivid so bright
Painting the landscape
Reds, blues, and greens
No man can recreate.

I reach out in hope
to be able to hold this vision
not to let it escape
until I can share it with you.

Wow, what a beautiful, vivid poem. I almost felt like I was there too. Hope you were able to share it with your special someone!
