haiku 009

in the deep of night
fluttering of swift dark wings
nocturnal birds rise

haiku 010

Spring rain falls softly
cicadas sing their bold reply -
can you hear them?

so simple to write, so difficult to capture the essence...

Beki,
Great haiku!!  Maybe I'll try to do a few some day.  Amazing how you can say so much in so little space, isn't it??

Thank you Esmeralda, Mike and Lone Wolf  Is it a trend Esmeralda? I hadn't noticed but do not be decieved by the numbered titles as they only apply to this year. I have written hundreds and published more than 40 in the last 10 years...it is my specialty.I am glad you enjoyed them and yes, Loneewolf, it is amazing how much can be said in an effectively written three line poem

It's always a pleasure to see you grace our poetic walls with your haiku, Beki... I'm glad you're writing again... I need to do the same - Pick up the quill and set it in motion..
