Goodbye Heartache...Hello Love < !signature-->One simple word was never heard Though I whispered it one day And in your eyes, I read the lies As you turned and walked away One sad goodbye, “I’ll never try To love again,” I said I trusted you, that’s all I knew And you left me there for dead One heart now stone, once yours to own Rock solid to the core I sadly grieved, justly believed That I would love no more Whispered soft to me one day And in his eyes, I saw no lies As he turned and came my way One brief hello, How could I know That once again I’d feel Trust set me free and now I see With time, all wounds can heal One beating heart, one brand new start A chance to live again I’m ready now, just show me how To let true love begin To love means never to be afraid of the windstorms of life: should you shield the canyons from the windstorms you would never see the true beauty of their carvings. ~Elizabeth Kubler-Ross [This message has been edited by hoot_owl_rn (edited 04-12-2000).] |

Two beautiful poems, Ruth! Time does heal all wounds. Sometimes it just takes longer than we would like! Denise |

Hoot: Once again, you take my breath away - what a wonderful story of loss and renewal, and so elegantly told! Troy Beautiful, Thought-Provoking Poetry http://www.h-systems.net/p1.htm |

I always want to help others up... but I ever kick against the pricks if it's myself. |

I found this very enjoyable. I love the change in hue from that of one being blue to that of one being on fire. Rich |

No doubt about it....Time does wound all heels! Comings and goings - hellos and goodbyes - all a part of life as we know it. Nice writing, Ruth. |
