WHAT IS LOVE? Sometimes I stay up till late at night. Staring at the stars, the moon, and the dark blue sky. My thoughts sort of float around me, and I have no clue how or why. I lay there under the moonlit sky, thinking of love, fantasizing who will be the one. When will I feel the softness of his lips, or when his hand will softly brush the hair free from my face? Will I get weak in the knees in his secure embrace? Will we stay up till late at night Learning of the other’s life. But will he love or show me love? Will he care about what I’m thinking, or notice my every change in feeling? And what if he's not a romancer, sweet talker, or a good-looking nice dresser? Do those things really matter? Or is it as long as you feel it deep within your soul then it's true. And when he walks in, your heart skips a beat, Butterflies fly all around your stomach, As you yearn for his touch. Is that when you know you're in love? When he's the one who creates the meaning of life in your eyes? Or is it just another word crowded in the dictionary? A feeling no one truly believes in. They claim it just to fit in with everybody else. They create this world for you to get lost in. And when you're lost in love they tell you that they never believed! Then the point of life and it's many meanings don't exist anymore. If you have no one to love or share that passion and desire with Then what is there to life??? I guess that's why some say love is unexplainable... Unexplainable, but TRUE.... |

Hibabeluv73, Sweetie love really does exsist but it is elusive and not something you just go out and look for, it just happends and when it does yes it feels like all of those things you mention. Cerenity |

Thanks guys. Your comments mean a lot to me. I'm glad you like my work. Cerenity, the time i wrote this poem i wasn't looking for love. i had found it and i felt all the sensations of true love. However, the man i fell for didn't believe that love was like a "fairytale," but all is better and we're still together. Thank you for your concern. babeluv |
