WEdding Vows
by miss abagail mannering
written 4/3-4/4/2000

"With this ring,
I thee wed..."
More sacred words
have NEVER been said.

Vows said today
will last forever-
if we cherish
our most precious treasure ...

Love like ours
is rare to find..
For, in our eyes
it glistens and shines.

We'll have good times
and we'll have rought-
but we'll truimph them all
if we're tough enough.

Our lives are precious,
our dreams our bold,
and someday we'll have
our fields of gold.

So, take my hand-
"'til death do us part..."
and know that I love you
with every beat of my heart.

written in part on a charter bus coming home from choir tour. dedicated to my Richard... for the future, when we are wed.

Congratulation, for the future wedding.  I must admit I am confused by the face. I am still trying to figure out if this is really sarcasm or you picked the wrong icon. No matter....good poem!

Marriage is a beatiful thing so far.   Almost 2 years for me. It hasn't been easy, but it hasn't been dull either.
I liked this poem, but where were you when I wanted to construct my own wedding ceremony  from beautiful poetry?

Ms Mannering - see "quick view" and you will be able to spy all icons for the proper face.

That being said, if you do not read this piece at your wedding, then I hope you will have written and read another piece just as fine.  You write from your heart, and it should be shown to the world.
