                      A problem

I have a problem when I go to bed.
My wife asks a question much to my dread.
It is to her like, a final dessert,
But snaps me awake, to a full alert.

And I clear my mind, for a sage review.
Awake my thinking to think things through.
And when through this process and ready to chat,
Out comes a sound, like the wheeze of a cat.

She is still and quiet, away in the deep
And I, wide awake unable to sleep.
I've tried to subvert her with a short amen
But hell she just asks the question again.

So I've come to accept this questions abhor
And know I'll get points if Gods keeping score.

Sy, this is the way it is sometimes--the things you have to put up with and smooth over with adaptability.  Wonderful look!

I'm not sure I get the message... but I like it.

but if there's nothing there to make things change,
if it's the same to you I'll just hang."

Seymour~
This is a cutie.

The only solution I can come up with
is to write down the answer
to the questions she asks
and deliver them in the morning.
Or get to sleep BEFORE she
asks the question.

You just keep me giggling.

ROFL!! This is great, Sy   I hate that, too. Wives have that down to a science. I think it's their way of getting to sleep first!

Martie, It's just one of those things, thank you for the comment. *L*

White Nite, Not much to understand, it just happens.

Marge, I tried that and you know she didn't remember the question. *L*

Balladeer, Glad to see I'm not alone.

Sy, you got me to thinking about the farmer, his twelve kids and his deaf wife.  [If you haven't heard the joke....let me know...]

I guess you're suffering under the less-than-worse alternative...

LOL at Sy!  Thanks for the lift!

Pretend you are sleeping, Sy, maybe that will work!  Cute poem!
