I wrote this for a dear friend who lost her cousin two days ago to a massive heart attack. < !signature-->~Just Call On Me~ By: Amy M. Kennedy Whatever you need I am here Just call on me To hold your hand or wipe away a tear Whatever you want, I'll be Miles might seperate us two Right now I know it hurts so much If ever there is anything I can do for you Just call on me, my life you touch If a friend is what you need Then that is what I will be If you want to be alone, that I too will heed Just call on me, you can lean on me I know the pain you are going through Wish I could take it all away I have felt this hurt too Just call on me I will be here for you each and every day Your heart someday is going to mend Don't worry I'm not going anywhere All my love I do send Just call on me..and I'll be there. If you need a shoulder to cry on...I have two If you need someone to talk to Or need someone to hear you out I am always here for you Never have to shout Just call on me ~Live today as though it were your last but prepare for tomorrow as though it were here~ [This message has been edited by Aimster (edited 04-09-2000).] |

Amy, I certainly can relate to this poem from your side as well as your friends. It's certainly wonderful to know you have friends out there in time of loss. Beautiful poem, your friend is blessed to know you. Michael |

Aimster, your friend is truly blessed indeed. this poem is so expressive of feelings and how much you care.*S* The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship." --Ralph Waldo Emerson |

I think what you wrote is the perfect description of the type of friend everyone wish they had. I had someone like that once. It's a beautiful thing. Great work! You've touched my soul. |

Amy~ Your friendship is a blessing. If she says you're helping .. then you must be. HUGS are always a much-needed help. This is a lovely expression of your friendship and sincerity. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

That's the best thing you can do, Amy, is to just make the offer. If and when she needs you, she knows you are there. |
