(One of my best friends has put me behind his girlfriend, and doesn't realize that he is putting me through this.  Now that I have a girlfriend, I'd just like to say....I'd never to that to him)

I’d never do that to him.

I feel so alone, I feel like I’m going to burst.
I feel like I’m always left out, I feel like I’m always the worst.
Why must I fail every time, why must I be in the cold.
Why must I be the only one, who has no hand to hold.

I knew it was going to happen, sooner or later it would be.
All my friends would have a girl, every last one…but me.
The friend I depended on, is no longer there.
He no longer calls me, he no longer cares.

We always went out, every lonely weekend night.
We always suck together, and talked when things weren’t right.
But now he has her, and doesn’t need me.
He just shut the door, closed his eyes and can’t see.

He can’t see my pain, he can’t see my tears.
All the time we spent together, over the years.
Means nothing to him now, now that he’s with her.
I wish he could only understand, the pain I endure.

But I am happy for him, because he is no longer sad.
Just like I am now, even though I’m still glad.
I just can’t understand why, he ignores me like he does.
I guess he likes her more, or maybe it’s just because.

Maybe I’m just jealous, maybe it’s a sin.
All I really know is, I’d never do that to him.

Good friends can always find some time for one another. It's not just jealousy on your part. But I think this happens to a lot of people
Good poem

OWU's~
This is emotionally written.
Your loss of your friend's companionship
is felt.  Well done.

Try to remember that your friend may
not realize he's failing to nourish
the friendship with you.
Be there when he comes back ...
as I suspect he will.
That's what true friendship is all about.

This is sad but also a perfect opportunity to check out some of those possible new friends as you seem to be doing since you now have a girlfriend.   James

I understand the pain of loss you feel. While I understand you friends facination with a "new" relationship there should be some relationship maintenence for you as well. Fear not, I find this typical amoung males. I have also observed, that while it may take a while, friends do come back around.  In the mean-time, I agree with James...strike out on your own and meet new people yourself.

OWU, this is so sad. I do think he will come around again, though, just give it some time and in the meantime make new friends as the others have said!
