If you're going to leave me Don't leave me like this Tell me one last goodbye, Give me one last kiss Tell me that you love me Even if it's not true Please just give me something To always remind me of you Give me your brilliant smile Before you close the door I won't beg you to stay I know you don't want me anymore Even though it kills me I will let you go I won't stand in your way I won't let my pain show Just promise to always remember The love that we once shared And despite the way your're feeling now At one time, I know you cared So, goodbye my love, my sweet I'll always miss you so But if I had my say in it I would never let you go. "It was my love that did us both to death. " -Sylvia Plath |

This is a very heart-felt poem that touched me deeply. Good job. "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." -Oscar Wilde |

I have never read a poem in my whole life that captured EXACTLY the way I feel and reduced me to tears in an instant. Thanks so much for posting this poem...i love it. |

Beautiful thoughts...when the other one decides they want to move on we must say goodbye with grace and then we can go on. Easy to say and hard to do...as you say we die inside. James |

I agree with jmlee. Let go with grace, and wish him well even though you are dying inside. If he comes back, it won't be out of pity, rather love. And my philosophy is the more you write, the better. |
