Demeanor Of A Fawn

As the sun rises in the east,
a fawn passes my way every
morning, on her daily tour
of the land she resides in.

I sit calmly and watch her
as she watches me, she is so
calm and serene, and I find
that I am too when she is
there.

I find myself wanting to
reach out and touch her,
as if she posses all of the
beauty and serenity at that
very moment in life.

As human as I am, I find
myself looking outwardly for
peace and understanding
that for some reason I do not
posses on my own.

To walk free of the chains of
life eludes me. My life is
surrounded by such beauty
of nature, family, and friends
why can I not feel it.

Seemingly missing the nature
of life’s treasures, which are
as free as the fawn, I keep
yearning for peace and clear
insight of my life and its
meanings.

I will continue to keep my
eyes and heart open so as to
find that in which I lack being
the tranquillity and serenest
of the fawn, for I know it is
obtainable if I truly desire it.

Tomorrow she shall pass my
way and give my heart the joy
of seeing her beauty and I will
thank mother nature for her
gift’s she so freely gives me.

Hi Lady Hoot,

She gives me joy every time I see her, even when my life seems to be falling apart, I know that is why God gave us the beauty in mother nature so we could endure life's trials just by opening our eyes and looking around.

Thank you,  Cerenity

wow cerenity..this is exceptional...you write this with such beauty and grace.
I love poems about nature and this one is perfect. there are so many beautiful things around us everyday, that we take for granted.
this is so very well expressed.
take care, jm

...when you walked into the room, I saw their faces,
you made it feel like time was standing still...and I felt fascination...
then you turned and smiled in my direction...
and my heart...gave me away.

Very soothing piece. I liked this...
Tomorrow she shall pass my
way and give my heart the joy
of seeing her beauty and I will
thank mother nature for her
gift’s she so freely gives me.

This is wonderful cerenity...simply wonderful. Some people never fully appreciate the beauty that nature holds.  This piece does just that very well.

Hi,
Janet, JML, Denise, Chris, Liz,

I live in the middle of town on a mountain that most people just drive around and don't know is there. On the top of this mountain is a ranch that has every kind of animal there is and of course my fawn, so I get to see her everyday as she passes by my property. I love her and I think we both enjoy each others company.

Thank you so much for your beautiful replys.
