I’ve watched a thousand kingdoms fall- And half a hundred rise. And Nero play with Rome in flames- And laughed at it’s demise. I’ve trodden shores where human foot- Has never left a print.. Explored those long lost dynasties And wondered where they went. I’ve surfed uncharted realms of space- Black holes are my domain. How oft I’ve wished to enter in- And not come out again. I was old ere time began- And after I’ll remain. A loner, surfing all alone... My sole companion ,,,,pain. To have a heart....though it be broke- Would suffice I confess... For even agony of love- Would beat this emptiness. Created, I, to surf alone- Alone I must remain... Alas, my quest goes on and on... The Surfer is my name. Wonderful writing as always! How'd this slip past page one without a comment? |

Well, I sure missed it and sorry I did. Excellent writing, as usual, 'slinger. |

I do so like this. Smooth as scotch whiskey, served perfectly, straight up. |

Slinger- Very nicely done. You are so versatile, Slinger. Refreshingly frank. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
