The fluid movements of the sands of time
One is often appalled by the beauty of the flow
As they watch the sand accumulate around them
They don't realize it's their life that they're letting go

The sand on their feet seems trivial at first.
But under their noses, time will quickly amass
Yet still they go about daily routines
As the sand covers old friends from the past

Some may begin to comprehend what is happening
Fear consumes where eagerness did reside
Thoughts of loneliness urges them to wade through sands
Wandering, looking, searching for another to stand beside

Sand covers the top of their knees now
Soon they will stand immobilized
So they take one last good stride
Before they begin a new life

Hoping they can leave an impression
They share knowledge with a child
Leaving their future in anothers hands
It makes them think it was all worthwhile

They really did live a common tale
I hope they enjoyed the show
Each person has a grip on a handle
Most don't know that they control the flow

Please don't be overly critical,  This one was trown together in a short time span.  Just trying to reflect some feelings that have come up at one time or another...  You are only as old as you think you are.

I'm a wanderer, a nomad...I don't live in one particular area, Just wherever I end up.

Creperum..... I had no idea your talent was so defined. This is really beautiful, and I'm sure others will agree completely. I'm actually jealous. You've shown me up...but I will give credit where it is deserved. Congragulations and welcome to passions, my love....Please keep posting and keep writing, you have a knack for this and it helps to release emotions otherwise kept secret and bottled. REALEASE THE GENIE!!!!! Good work (as I've said on here before) is an understatement.

P.S. You should read complications, Creperum...it's a lot like Overcast, but different in many ways. It has a lot to do with the subject of most of the poetry I've been writing the last 3 days.
