I'm a wanderer, a nomad...I don't live in one particular area, Just wherever I end up.

Neglect

Have you ever reaped
The being from the soul
And intertwined an echo
between your fingertips
Escaped a sigh
with only seconds left to breathe
Let the leaves
rip and tear
under your feet
The feet which kicked my stomach
so blindly
The feet which walked upon my
face
Until I was beyond
Black and blue
A backhanded  discipline
shot out too far.
But how long will you push me
before I snap
and begin raping your intelligence
Stripping you down to your naked fear....

This seems like a dark picture of physical abuse rather than neglect. I hope it isn't true, but your poem shows a lot of emotion

SorrowsMyst~
This is very sad and very frightening.
Packed with raw emotion ...
Unfortunate for such horror to
inspire a poem.
If it has happened to you .. seek help.
If it's happening to someone you know ... seek help.

Powerfully written.

Wow! Haunting, bitter, and full of life and truth. Enjoyed much.

Hauntingly dark and sorrowful.

Very powerful piece. If this is happening to you, don't wait 'till you snap. Get out while you can and then get counseling to go on with the rest of your life. And then don't look back.

Thank you for your concern....this has happened to me, but fortunately I am out of the circumstances which inspired me to write this. I have gotten help for the post trauma it caused, and am doing quite well now. I just have a knack for writing about my atrocities, so I'll warn you now to expect that from me. Thank you for all of your wonderful comments, it gives me great hope.

Hi SorrowsMystress,

I am sorry you went through this, life is hard enough to do without this, and I am glad you are ok. I write about my past as well it seems to finalize it, or at least help. This is good.
