Gray Skies I don't know how I’ve been surviving, In this cold and empty world for all this time. I've been searching and crying. I've been hurt and dying. Looking for that very person that could keep me Alive. There are many things I wish I didn't do, The are many situations I wish I didn’t go through, But everyday I pray that someday my skies won't be As gray, and that when I open my eyes, I won’t see A man, or all those people pointing at me for not Seeing the magic behind the secret, and feeling Blue, because all they can see is a guy without a clue. And once again, I travel on the same lonely road, Feeling empty and different, but not because I’ve Killed or because I’m cruel, but for daring not following societies So called rules. So today I’ve finally found peace, in my heart at Least. I've gone to a better place, where I can Just be free. And I’ll rest from a life of pain, Hoping people will one day open their minds and Make the world a better place, or at least judge us Not for what we are, but maybe for the mistakes We’ve made |

There's nothing wrong with being different...it wouldn't be a very interesting world if we were all the same..Nice writing and welcome to Passions! |

Rod, of your two poems I have read so far, each one has filled me with sadness for you -I hope the sun will shine soon for you my friend. You write very well and I look forward to reading more of your work. Remember sunshine and smiles make the world go round. Roniece |
