(this is my first poem posted here...hope you like it!*grins nervously*) Moon Junction Follow me to Moon Junction-- where the moon is always full and the masqueraders never stop dancing where the poor work their hardest and never get rewarded and the rich do nothing and always get rewarded where melancholy music fills the smoky night air and the sounds sweep through the empty souls where children dance in the dirty streets calling their mommas' names and the mommas stand on the side hoping, praying for some kind of future where ramshackle, worn-down factories lean into each other like tired skeletons and war-torn trees and buildings slowly rot away with each passing night where lovers hold to empty promises knowing nothing is forever and people walk down memory lane with closed minds and empty hearts where hopeless students lack the want to learn and helpless teachers lack the need to teach where the needs of millions are continuously ignored and the cries of many fall on deaf ears.... follow me to Moon Junction-- where the moon is always full and the masqueraders never stop dancing. BobbyCat- Welcome to our family of friends. Your writing has some wonderful descriptive phrases - I liked 'where ramshackle, worn-down factories lean into each other like tired skeletons' Vivid image. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

WoW! I enjoyed every word of it, there was no way I could have stopped reading in the middle of it even if I wanted to! Great job and a wonderful poem to enter with. So welcome to the family and I hope to read more soon! Just be glad I'm not your child! *evil grin* |
