Cute furry gray rodents
Running amongst the trees
Harvesting the spring nuts
As busy as you please

Cute furry gray rodents
Charming in your pursuits
But the truth of the tail
Rats in designer suits

-----

My family and I had lunch today in the park. My wife made the comment of "rats in designer suits."

Oh don't get me wrong Whicked One
For squirrels I am fond.
But like cheryl done said
If its tail were thin
How would you respond?

Anyone for a rat-trap and a hunk of bree?

So cute! But yet so ugly...the rats not the poem! And your wife has a strange way of thinking!

Andrew~
I like to watch the squirrels scurry ...
now you see 'em ... now you don't !

But, the frisky little critters had
best stay outside !
I enjoyed your wife's description.

LOL!!! I know what you mean, Sir Andrew. I get the same warm feeling by walking into seafood restaurants and letting people know that the lobster is part of the cockroach family!!! Life is good!!!

Love your wit!

ROTFLMAO!... I'll never look at a lobster the same way! Nor a roach for that matter.

Lady DeVine & Marge... thank you as well... yep! sometimes she comes up with a real winner.

Well, I dunno - My daughter has "flying squirrels" living in her eaves... She occasionally captures one that finds its way inside and keeps it as a pet - She's up to four now.... They're cute little guys...

Rat's in designer suits
the image dances in mind
lady dressed spiked boots
ready to be wined an dined
menu draped in fur no waste
tonight's delicacy rare taste
haunted in dreams by scampering
tiny little feet on eyes tampering
see me your friend from the park silly
little girl on the swings called me Milly
sweet dreams I leave unto you so delightfully
