Okay...I decided it was time to post one of my "sad" poems...hope you like it! Alone Each evening brings a sense of dread; For, as the shroud of night is spread, I face, once more, an empty bed Alone. I try, in vain, to go to sleep, As, slowly by, the hours creep. I toss and turn; I sigh and weep Alone. And, when, at last, the night is gone, I gain no solace from the sun. With misty eyes, I glimpse the dawn Alone. -Troy J. ***hsystems, I can really relate to this poem. Insomnia is a bugger, but I find that so much work can shoot out of me in these situations. A great poem.  I am not a preacher, I just speak the world as I see it. |
