A rose's petals kissed by dew
Shining in the morning hue,
Brings back thoughts so pleasantly
Reminding me of my love for you.

A shimmering glimmer in dawn's early light
A fantasy of dreams in flight
Carry me so freely to you
In the stillness of waning night.

A look, a smile, then a gentle glance
My eyes to you are now entranced
Gently forced by soft fingers of love
To find in you my dearest romance.

There are no words for how I feel
How your gentleness has helped to heal
A broken heart weary and torn
And why I now before you kneel.

So I take your gift so lovely it is
That my very soul is carressed
By your gentle way and heart and soul
By your love I'm most richly blessed.
