       Of wait and fate

I bathed in passions waters,
Emersed in its confine.
Left my senses out to dry,
Like dew upon a vine.

Walked upon its blissful beach
And played upon its shore.
Never thought about a change,
Or what God had in store.

Time has brought about a storm,
That struck me to the bone.
Plummeting down from heaven
And now I am alone.

Distance blacks a barrier,
The touching and the sight.
It stole away the senses of,
My passion and delight.

And now I hold in distant wait,
The future of my distant fate.

Sy, this is excellent...truly, perfect rhyme and flow and so full of emotional imagery...
very well written and expressed...your emotions drip off the page.
take care, jm

Do you live by the book, do you play by the rules
Do you care what is thought by others about you
If this day is all that is promised to you
Do you live for the present, the future the past...

Time's storms may blacken brightest night
with no sign of reprieve.
Indeed I've faced that raging fright
but somehow lived to breathe.

The storm will pass for you, my friend.
I believe that earnest fact.
Clutch near your dear ones and your faith
and whole, you'll stand, intact.

Your poem, as always, is wonderful, Seymour.

Great poem Symor,

You truly are a gifted talent.  Keep up the great work.  I totally feel this poem.  It reminds me of my life.  Before I joined the Corp I was involved heavily in youth ministry and wanting to go on the mission field but God took me somewhere else for a season.  I am headed to the mission field but that is still a little off.  Now there have been many storms that life and time have brought upon me since my enlistment, and I have felt very alone like I had lost God.  Also, the distance, being away from all my family and friends and everything that I had known my whole lift seemed to douse my passion burning deep inside me.  Like the poem states I wait for my future fate.  I just relate.  I do not hate and I'm no reprobate.  I will get a clean slate and hopefully a full plate.  Nothing is ever late.
