Floating gently on a cloud....

Passions in Poetry

Passions, to me, is a great place to be.
When I found it I was alone,
But now it is my family.
A family that shares and is willing to listen,
A collection of poems that, like diamonds, glisten.

When I am here, I feel so warm,
This is the best place to shelter from life’s storms.
No one has laughed at my poor attempts at poetry,
Have you any idea  how much that means to me?
Passions is my second home, I hope that doesn’t sound lame,
It warms me within like a bright, glowing flame.

Ron, you are an angel, how did you create such a wonderful place...
Free from prejudice of colour, size. looks or race.
Every time I visit my heart starts to sing,
This haven truly has given my soul wings.

I have laughed, I have cried,  I have smiled, I have sighed.
About my feelings I have never had to lie.
Passions is a gift that fills me with delight,
From life’s burdens it gives me respite.

Passions, for me, has opened a door,
It has a special place in my heart for evermore.

Passions is a family
rocking us pleasantly
in the core of poets
gathered for sonnets
and all other styles
gifted all the while
holding hand of time
tick tocks out rhyme
every minute a honor
knowing I am a donor
to a pace of friends
where lonliness ends

The search is over...that's what I thought when I first entered Passions...home is a simple word, but when you find one...one that is as welcoming as Passions, you realize what you were missing all those years. And no poem is feeble...we pour our souls into our writing...that's what poetry is... welcome home.

I think we ought to collect all the poems written about PIP. I betcha they all have about the same thought. You've described our home well! This a great place, like no other

*Thanks Ron*

Well done Lizzie. I too found something extra special when I found Passions. It is not only poetry and prose, great talent and wonderful words. It is a feeling of belonging and warmth, welcoming and truely caring for eachother. We each have different lives and  busy scheduals but we make time for those we hold dear. I am very glad that you have become one of the family. We shall all benefit from knowing you.

A wonderful tribute to our family.  This is indeed a special place, isn't it?
