The spider scampered high on the limb
The swampman knew his outlook was grim
Remembering his umbrella, it would protect him
From the poisonous bite, that soon could infect him
Caught unexpected, he uttered an oath
Just before an alligator swallowed them both
Rubbing its belly, sighing in content
The gator laughed at the twisted event

I will now take my bow as the rotten requester, even though this poem is worthy of being seen again, Walt just does not realize the talent he exhibits, but I sink it in his head one of these days. So until then I admit this one was my asking and I am proud of it.

Very cute, I enjoyed!

Moral: Don't go near the water if wayoutwalt's professor assigns a spider poem. I guess we can be as far out as you.
Fun poem, Enjoyed

This is delightful, Walt! So while we're worrying about one thing 'getting us' something else usually does?!!
