                 JESSICA
JESSICA,YOU WERE BORN TO US,
THE PERFECT LITTLE GIRL.
HAIR SO BLONDE AND PLENTIFUL,
OF WAVES AND LITTLE CURLS.
A FACE SO FULL OF BEAUTY,
FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE.
AND THEN YOUR DISABILITY.
MADE YOU DEPENDANT ON MUM AND ME.
WHAT GOD MISSED WITH YOUR MUSCLES,
HE MADE UP WITH YOUR HEART.
AND AN INCREDIBLE STRENGTH OF CHARACTER,
THAT SET YOU WORLDS APART.
YOUR LAUGHTER AND YOUR SMILE,
WOULD MAKE US ALL ASHINE.
ESPECIALLY IN THE MORNINGS,
WHEN WE WERE GRUMPY MOST OF THE TIME.
EVERYONE ADORED YOU,
WITH YOUR CHEEKY LITTLE GRIN.
WITH WISDOM WELL BEYOND YOUR YEARS,
YOU COULD ALWAYS GET THEM IN.

BUT FOUR SHORT YEARS LATER,
GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO HIS SIDE.
ALTHOUGH WE FEEL GREAT SORROW,
WE LET YOU GO WITH PRIDE.
YOU GREW WITH US AND HELPED US GROW
IN SO MANY WAYS.
WHICH MAKES THIS TIME OF PASSING
AN INCREDIBLY SADDENING DAY.
YOUR BROTHERS,THEY WILL MISS YOU,
AS YOU MADE UP PART OF THIER WORLD.
BUT I KNOW THEY FEEL THEY ARE LUCKY
TO HAVE KNOWN SUCH AN INCREDIBLE,WONDERFUL GIRL
ALTHOUGH THE GRIEF UPON US
WILL LAST FOREVER MORE.
IT WILL EASE IN THE KNOWING
THAT YOU ARE AT HEAVENS DOOR.
AND THROUGH THE TEARS WE CRY
AND THE FEELINGS,OF SORROW AND OF PAIN
OH,JESSICA OUR SWEET BABY,
WE LOOK FORWARD TO THE DAY WE WILL MEET AGAIN.

WE LOVE YOU DARLING
YOUR MUM AND DAD.

Ah, tears are streaming down my cheeks.  I too, have been there.

I'm so terribly sorry for your great loss.

I too, am a bereaved mother.

After years of silent sorrow, I finally found a way to express my grief in a way that might give others some care and comfort.
I began a poetry site called "Coming Through the Fire", found at:  http://www.angelfire.com/zine/bereaved

A site to give other bereaved parents a place to put a permanent memorial to their beloved lost one/ones, with poems and maybe pictures, to honor their darling(s).

I would be very honored if you would give me the chance to put together a memorial for your darling, precious little Jessica.

If you visit, and think you would like to, please e-mail me.  I would be so grateful.

Beautiful. So full of truth, grief, pride and faith. I extend my hand in welcome. And I believe you truly "are" a poet.

Welcome to the club. You make a wonderful father, and an incredible poet. Your words flew into my head like butterflies, but at the same time like arrows, for I felt your pain as I read it. I am glad to see you look at the whole situation as positive.

JustaDad~

What a loving tribute to Jessica.
Your heart is showing all the way
through this loving piece.
Welcome to a caring and loving
family of friends.

Be sure to check out Rosemary's
site ... it's just the best there is.
She has the loving heart of a mother
who has loved and lost time and again.

Bless you.

How beautifully touching.  I am grieving for your loss and hope you find comfort in those around you and those that most certainly love you.  Your little girl was a gift, and from the way you spoke in your poetry you cherished that gift everyday you spent with her.  Peace and love be with you.

***Justadad,
The way that your words moved and flowed confirm, to me at least, that you are indeed a poet.
I am sure your little Jessica is looking down upon you, smiling and laughing rainbows.
Beautiful.

Our hearts are with you here at Passions.
