reached out for something more -it's you- pulled out something less -it's me- when will it be where will we go- to get away from... this I cried all night, not in love where were you, -I needed, not you not me -just... this . "I don't claim to be a wise man, a poet or a saint. Just another man who's searching for a better way. But my heart beats loud as thunder for the things that I believe. Sometimes I want to run for cover, sometimes I want to scream." Jon Bon Jovi |

Applauding one of my few "Favorite Poets" Get tired of the word perfection for your poetry, but that's the best it can get. So Christopher, this is perfect Liz |

I *love* the formatting! Please, experiment with some more. "when will it be where will we go" For some reason those two lines just reached out an grabbed me. Excellent work, as always m'friend. |

I ask for this, you give me that, Not that I don't like this. But this could be that And that should be this What is so wrong with that? Nothing more, nothing less, Reaching sucks, I must confess. I cannot give you what you need, Chris, Sadly all I can give is - this! Sorry bud....just burning brain cells here. I find myself needing that "this" thing a lot myself these days. Great little poem. Remarkable, Christopher. The format really drew me in, as did your words. Exellent. *Krista Knutson* ~*Only when trudging through the soul's darkest midnight can one truly appreciate the glory of the sunrise*~ |

Chris, writing from the heart is always beautiful, and your gentle verse is just that. I wish I knew better where the "this" is kept, because I've not known any for so long...I would be sure to procure enough for both of us. Thank you, for all your "This's." ~ Claire |

How wistfully mournful - done to the tee my friend. Yep - to the tee, can't find any flaws here...interesting format, I really like it. I guess the word that sums the poem up for me is: gentle. Well done. K 'Writing sharpens life; life enriches writing' Sylvia Plath |

I don't need to tell you again that I envy you your talent for free verse, but I will. It is amazing what a talented poet can say in something so apparently uncomplicated as "This." Well done. --Me Full fathom five thy father lies, Of his bones are coral made, Those are pearls that were his eyes; Nothing of him that doth fade But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange... --William Shakespeare, from The Tempest |
