THE FLOWER !

So there I sit;
   With a flower in my hand.
As I slowly write;
   Her name in the sand...
I'm playing the game;
   I played as a tot;
Chanting she loves me.
   She loves me not.
But this time it's not for the girl;
   With freckles on her face
But for the one I love;
   The one my dreams chase.

So I'm asking the flower;
   If Avei loves me;
cause I don't have the power;
   To ask her myself.

And For once the flower;
   Tells me yes;
So I decide to ask her,
   To get rid of this stress.
But the next time I see her;
   My heart begins to race.
And I can't bring myself,
   to look her in the face
So I pass her by;
   Without a word;
Without a try;
   My whole body trembles;
my heart begins to cry.
   The anger rises within.
And I ask myself why.
   I see my dreams fading
And my courage begins to die.
   I feel I am trading;
the truth for a lie.

  The lie that tells me.
That she doesn't care.
   And that if I asked her;
I would just get a stare

But I don't want to be a fool;
   And let my dreams die.
So I think I'll give it;
   At least one more try;
So pray for me;
   that I'll get the courage;
To make her see.
   That I love her.
I love her dearly...

Chico,
Touching poem. You will never know what love will be without first taking the chance to share it....after all we must give it away to feel it in return. I hope you find the courage to see if she feels the same. Good Luck!!!

Just so you know, this poem has been deleted from the Challenge Forum, the Teen Forum, the Dark Forum, the Critical Analysis Forum and the Feelings Forum. Please don't post the same poem in mulitiple forums....you have a better chance of having it read if you stick to one forum. Thanks Chico!

I loved the softness of this poem...it almost made me cry...but Chico get up your courage...be her friend...and then see what happens. James
