How can we , why do we , send rockets to the moon , while starvation and poverty reign ? . How can we , why do we , gladly spend our money on a 1/8,000,000 chance of winning a lottery ? . while some people have to give all their money , just for a few grains of rice ? . How can we , why do we , see walking a few miles as ludicrous , when some members of OUR RACE have to walk for 12 hours a day just for water ? . How can we , why do we , STILL look upon ourselves as civilised ? . "all i wanna be , is washed out by the sea" |

***Cabes, This is great and speaks of so much the vulgarity in our race. It reminded me of two thngs, firstly a Pitchshifter song called "Please Sir", and a Patrick Jones poem. I'll dig out both of them for you. Love your best mate. xx I am not a preacher, I just speak the world as I see it. |

This is so great! It reminds me that us people in the 1st world, we don't have a clue and are incredibly big-headed. But I wonder - if the tables were turned and we were the starving ones, would the people in the third world end up just like us, selfish and thoughtless? The tragedy of it is that nobody sees the look of desperation on my face. Thousands and thousands of us, and we're passing one another without a look of recognition. |

***Cabes, The bulk of us are guilty. The problem is is that too few of us have such an idea of concience as you. x L x I am not a preacher, I just speak the world as I see it. |

Thinking about the problem isn't often the problem though is it, half the problem is doing something about it . I think this is called the Millenium ( spelt wrong ) dome theory ( how can a gouvernment spend billions on a big upside-down goldfish bowl when millions of people all over the world are dieing of poverty and deprevation, great poem cable, it tells the reader loads about the state of the world, keep them coming and I'll always read them . With poetry as your weapon - express your iner feelings so all may carry your sorrow, united as one . |
