I woke up on this sunny morn And went about my normal way Something though is very wrong When everything bright seems gray I’m really trying to be happy And I’m trying hard to be strong But a moment of weakness has found me My stoic veil has hidden me so long It seems to have broken down enough For my hidden feelings to show through I feel a prisoner inside my mind My taboo emotions ringing true I chide myself sitting in silence His image echoes through my mind If only Fate had allowed me to find him In another place – another time I would love to ‘be’ and hold him Just once I let hope course through me Still…I’m left here in this emptiness Lost in my mind’s personal infinity And so, I continue to sit here in the sunlight Letting the rays kiss each and every tear I feel like such a fool for just feeling Glad he can’t see me like this – he’s not here I’ll get a hold of myself in a minute Put on my very best ‘happy’ face And I'll be the friend I am to him, 'cause My feelings don’t belong in this time and place May I never be too busy to help another's load, Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed. --Author Unknown |

Your feelings are very well expressed, Satiate. I hope that happiness will find its way to you soon. Good luck! Elizabeth "He have his goodness now. God forbid I take it from him!" -The Crucible |

'Tis very rough indeed, and painful. Elizabeth "He have his goodness now. God forbid I take it from him!" -The Crucible |

And so, I continue to sit here in the sunlight Letting the rays kiss each and every tear I feel like such a fool for just feeling Glad he can’t see me like this – he’s not here I’ll get a hold of myself in a minute Put on my very best ‘happy’ face And I'll be the friend I am to him, 'cause My feelings don’t belong in this time and place --------------- Satiate, this is so beautiful, sadly sweet. I really felt your emotions in this...well written and the last line is perfect! take care, jm Do you live by the book, do you play by the rules Do you care what is thought by others about you If this day is all that is promised to you Do you live for the present, the future the past... tracy chapman |

I'd have to say that your feelings always belong in your own place and time. It's unfortunate when they don't jive with others' though....Nice work, my friend.. |

Wow, what a painful poem. I'm not one to be giving advice in this area, I know... but if he is your friend, hold fast to that, there is a time and a place for everything. Michael |

I'm under the thought that it is always the right time and place to let your feelings out...it's when you try to hold them inside that life becomes difficult. |
