My Eyes When burdened with the unforgiving fear, That love you've shared may well be love in vain. Ask not for flowered words to soothe your ear, But search my eyes for proof your love remains. My eyes, immersed in you, could never lie, They offer you a glimpse into my heart. Now with your kisses dry the tears I cry, And watch the fears of loving lone depart. Though feeble words fall short of their intent, And deeds may never satisfy your need, Just gaze into my eyes for your content, And leave your doubts to wither and recede. What then the flaws of deeds and words conceal, My eyes the depth of perfect love reveal. |

When burdened with the unforgiving fear, That love you've shared may well be love in vain. I have always loved its opening two lines..they are poetically stunning.... and then the intend of these two.... But search my eyes for proof your love remains. My eyes, immersed in you, could never lie, yep...this one is a *sigh* just waiting to happen. |
