I didn't know how much I missed you, until the day you went away Missing you so very much, wishing you could stay I know you had to go, you were in so much pain But still I keep on missing you, your touch, your voice, your name You were the sweetest nan, with the kindest heart It was the sadest day when we did finally part Knowing you were slipping away And here with us you could not stay My heart did break watching you go But peacefully, we all did know The day went, the night came round Not long left, then you were found All your loved one's you had said goodbye You now have peace, you can now fly Up, up into the clouds you went Greeted by angels, heaven sent They will love you, just like you did us Protect and care for you, make a fuss You deserve it, you and your heart of gold Keep you safe, they've been told The angels will keep you safely by their side With special wings they'll help you glide Above the sky so blue and clouds so white Watching us through day and night Keep all the windows of your mind open Anne Rooks |
