I Saw A Circus Clown Today I saw a circus clown today bend over and shine a moon a smile plastered on his face for it was just past noon next thing I see ten more appear taking clown one away the crowd rises and start to chant, yea, hooray, hooray A smile plastered on his face for it was just past noon he knew his destiny would be coming to an end soon that did not stop him from performing every single day problem was co-workers were claiming him to be gay Next thing I see ten more appear taking clown one away dismayed emotions dive deeply I begin feeling very gray I go down in front of some administrator to pop a balloon and told him point-blank that he looked terrible in maroon The crowd rises and start to chant, yea, hooray, hooray I bowed and walked away knowing I said all I had to say his days were numbered he told me at the corner saloon I saw a circus clown today bend over and shine a moon [This message has been edited by Lost Dreamer (edited 03-25-2000).] |

Walt: Glad you enjoyed it thank you for reading Balladeer: Thank You kindly,I really don't know what made me write this all I know I was sitting here late last night and thought I want to write a poem and sat in front of the computer and let it flow. Marge: Thank You, on a roll yes with words like mayo topped with lettuce green as life sandwiched in between are thoughts expressed to reach many miles. Each bite a taste of gratitude for all the fine poets here. |

Oh yea, now I know for sure. You are nuts. You should be in the 'Stute. But as long as you write great poetry like this, I won't make the call. |

Ruth: Thanks for reading and enjoying Rebecca: Your frame of mind is right...LOL glad you liked and thanks for your kind words. Toe: Twas no Balldeer bending actually it was your act offending pants down at knees obscenely sending what your mother nature so kindly was lending you jumped the silly circus clown for payment pending. Now the poor silly circus clown has interior wounds that need tending. [This message has been edited by Lost Dreamer (edited 03-27-2000).] |
