Memories

memories are made
from what our heart has endured
some are happy and bring us joy
in their recollection
yet these memories do not oft' come to mind

'tis the memories that haunt
the cruel and callous
the uncaring and malicious
that are e'er in our thoughts
and shape the path of our days

let me be a fond memory
to cross your mind once in a while
to banish the unkindness
and bring a smile to your face
knowing  you are loved

Catherine

There's nothing better in my book than being someone's fond memory. I don't think it gets any better than that! This is lovely Catherine! Welcome to Passions! I look forward to reading more from you!

Great poem. Sometimes it is the good memories of a lost loved one that can be haunting. Welcome to passions.

Catherine~
This is a nostalgic render that
ruffles the memories of the mind.
Wonderfully portrayed.
Welcome to our Passion's family.
