I’ll rosin up my lucky glove- There’s something ‘bout the life I love. I sure would like to make the PBR. But I’m over thirty now... I never was that great nohow... I guess I’ll have to take things as they are. Chorus: Goldthwaite, Brownwood, Waco shows- Smalltime pots, that’s how it goes... I barely win enough so we can eat... Still I’m goin’ down the road- The only life I’ve ever knowed... The freedom that I feel cannot be beat. Chorus: Ridin’ bulls is where it’s at- I guess my wife can’t fathom that... I can’t imagine why she’s still around.. Now I’m watchin’ both my boys.. Buckin’ barrels their favorite toys- I guess that’s why she always wears a frown. Chorus: But there’s somethin’ ‘bout a rodeo That gets down in your soul. That makes you save up entry fees- And sleep out in the cold.... Ridin’ hurt and missin’ meals- Denying that you’re old- There’s just somethin’ ‘bout the rodeo That gets down in your soul. I guess it's like the ocean - once it's in your blood - it stays there... I saw a rodeo when I visited the West... and I could see that feeling emanating from the people there... Nice job, GS.. |

Good work, 'slinger. I'm reminded of that sage piece of Western advice...."Never squat with your spurs on!" |
