Empty Memories An empty page Before me lays As in my mind Your memory plays And all the while My beating heart Its frantic rhythm Does impart I raise my weapon Lofty pen Place it on The pad and then Begin to write Of you and I Quickly now As memories die In no time Before me lays A vision of Once better days Bled from my heart To ink of pen From mind to paper And back again < !signature--> There are only two ages of people...living and dead and you all look about the right age to me  [This message has been edited by hoot_owl_rn (edited 03-24-2000).] |

Hoot, I want to thank you for the great comment you gave my poem earlier. It made me feel really good. I haven't put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) for anything other than to write COBOL in far too long. I want to say that it feels really great to get it all out again.
