Turbulent tides flow through my soul Uncertain of where they belong Only sure that they are no longer a whole Perhaps there's a stream flowing less than before There's a weak feeling constantly rushing over As if the moon won't pull anymore Or maybe the tide doesn't remember how to get to the ocean Something began to cut it off; A wall of emotion More troublesome as an oil spill or terrible storm This is something completely new And far from the norm The tide has now become a lush crimson And the fish are all afloat But there's something wading in the water Could it be...? Yes, a boat! Beautiful and huge It stands tall Inside it shelters a key that can open all The only certain way So powerful it commands the moon And soon will be sending the tide to bay More powerful than any typhoon Yet, as gentle as a dove The key is engraved and reads: "Your heart will never be blocked again, Love" By Andrea Aguirre [This message has been edited by AndreaA02 (edited 03-24-2000).] |

This poem is very nicely written. I liked the imagery with the ocean and the rhyme pattern. Welcome to Passions! A life isn't significant except for its impact on other lives. |
