I am a Flower I am the rose fragile at times always whispering of love and countless nights of passion I am the lily who holds her graceful head, weighted down by morning dew, high to meet the rising sun I am the daisy “he loves me, loves me not” counted off in rhyme on my petals the answer ever changing And I am the violet easily crushed beneath your feet but strong enough to survive to bloom once more |

Hoot~ This is just precious. How like the flowers you are. Always a bouquet of beauty. Love you .. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

I love the use of flowers to suggest the different aspects of your personality..their fragility and beauty and strength. And the violet...crushed but unstoppable was a great one to finish on "What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies." -Aristotle |

Ruth, The one thing about flowers is they make us smile in the sunshine, but you make us smile all the time. Love this poem. |

Hoot-owl-rn, This is beautiful, very understated but very moving, and very well constructed. By the way, I found some of the links to submit some of my sonnets to, but are there e-mial addresses anywhere? Forgive me if I seem a tad obtuse but I am barely computer literate. If you could help me with some advice I would appreciate it. Thanks for a sweet poem, I really enjoy your writing. David2 |
