I stand here looking at the bay My mind wanders to that day You were here with me then My love, my soulmate, and my friend Our love was pure and sweet All my needs you did meet I thought it would always be Forever you, forever me I start to walk along the shore Listening to the roar Of the waves on the rocks Watching them engulf the docks In my eye a small tear forms It is shed for the storms That led us to this place Our footsteps I retrace My heart holds the memory dear Of what happened just last year Late at night the storm was raging Was a play that we were staging Our love was plain to see That night on the balcony Nature lashed out all around But to each other we were bound Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. So wistfully sweet, Lone Wolf. This brought beautiful images to mind. Elizabeth "He have his goodness now. God forbid I take it from him!" -The Crucible |

LoneHeart~ Stunning ! What heart-felt emotions. 'In my eye a small tear forms It is shed for the storms That led us to this place Our footsteps I retrace' Tracing the footsteps can be so difficult when they have been washed away by the storm. Perhaps the storm rages within. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Marie, I think we all know them at one time or another. It is what is in my heart. Elizabeth, sweet images for me too. They are beautiful memories and will be cherished always. Sven, thank you. They will live forever in my mind. It was a wonderful night and my favorite place. Hoot owl, Thanks....they just came to me and seemed a fitting end. Marge, thank you....and yes, the storm does rage within also. The footsteps are not quite gone yet though. Maybe it isn't too late. we will see. Tess, I try to do my best. Thank you. RH, what a wonderful compliment. Perhaps we could do that sometime. I sit down and it just comes out....the only way I know how. You ill hear from me soon, my friend. Thank you!!! Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Smith |
