Soul Friend I will always treasure the moments we spend together They will always be remembered with a smile I try to imagine how our future will be, and feelings of sadness fill my soul An invisible chain joins us Our pain and our happiness keep us together I can’t help but think of the day when the road that you must travel comes, and leads you away from me A road that will lead you to a special someone Someone who will hold your hand Someone who will take away your fears Someone with whom you wont have to hide your tears Someone who will occupy all your time and thoughts Someone who eventually will break our chain Our destiny was to meet only in words it seems Words that are filled with hopes and dreams I wish I could find the right words to express my feelings for you But which words can express the complex feelings of my soul I wish you all the love and happiness this world can give That special someone, is my wish for you So when you feel me distant, don’t worry I’m just preparing for the road ahead. WOW Broken Wings, I have felt and still feel every word and line in your poem. Excellent work. What comes from the heart goes to the heart. Samuel Coleridge |

So used to the love that lets go and the love that isn't meant to be...the gaurd that is never down and trying often to prepare ourselves so we don't hurt quite so much....A road I travel well and am preparing to travel again soon...beautiful and comforting to give words to the feeling. *AWHs* Whatever strength I add to myself becomes my greatest weakness, while whatever weakness I'll consciously endure will be replaced with a strength that is not my own. I think you've put difficult feelings and thoughts about a special friend into words in a wonderful way great poem "What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies." -Aristotle |

Dark Angel~ Thank You, im glad you could relate, it's not often we have these feelings for a friend. Danny~ Thank You, i feel very privileged to have someone so special. Romantic~ Thank You, i wonder if soulmates are as hard to find as soulfriends?...and i am the one who is lucky Butterfly~ you saw rite thru the poem. i wish you strength as you prepare to travel down tha familiar road. **AWHs** to you too my friend.Thank You Tess~ Thank You, it took me a while to find the words, but i cleared my mind of all the confusion , and that was what i was left with Tulip~ i would hold on forever if that were posible, but iv'e learned that nothing lasts forever. hoot_owl~ i always heard people talk about friendships like these, but i never thought that i would be allowed to experience it. I WISH TO THANK YOU ALL FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ MY POEM. TAKE CARE, Broken Wings "As you learn and grow, you will realize the greater the pain, the greater the growth." -IYANLA VANZANT |
