I understand the way you are Friends are near or are far To them you lend your ear And your heart which you hold dear There was a time I wasn't sure That these bonds were pure But now that time is past My trust in you I put at last Why the sudden change of heart Maybe it was there from the start Yes I had to be certain Nothing was hidden behind the curtain You gave me a reason to doubt Those words had no clout Hidden things behind my back Show the confidence that you lack In my ability to accept things Your mistrust loudly rings I try to show that I can change Put myself within your range Questions, questions, tests, tests Will your fears ever be put to rest Look and see what's in my heart Our love a work of art Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Broken Heart...thank you. They just kind of pour out. Glad you like them!!! Take care, my friend. Romantic Heart...still there and doing that. Thank you for the offer, you will be hearing from me. I'd love to hear your take on things. Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Smith |
