How Did You Know?
You see my tears
even though I don't let them
Fall,
You feel My hurt when I can't
find the strength to climb that
Wall,
You look inside
And take Me as I am, But yet
You encourage Me to grow for the
better with Time,
Until I hear the ringing of the
"come home Chime"
You stopped in your tracks
And took a look back
But most others kept walking
along,
Thank You for helping me to see
that I belong.
You hear my pain and confusion
when I don't even speak one word,
The caring touch You bring me,
Is like the joy of seeing a sweet soaring bird
This is why every day I have to
thank God for You,
Because without You what would I
do?

Thank you all for reading my first poem submitted.  I wrote this when I was a teenager about my best friend, who is now my husband.
