Just having fun. I see a windmill I am an old Don Quixote Charging on passé pyrrhic crafts. And I hate the free form windmills Of pate sophisticated drafts. They log the acid cryptic pen Send fog onto the naive glen Hide the simple and mystify And Vail the true. Of mice and men. They groom readers with abstract themes. Spin innuendos picayune Swim in a jumbled jamboree And feed you symbols with a spoon. They, dare to heap neglect on me. The song I sing, their requiem. I stand in answer, lance in hand And water, on the best of them. I do not want to change my way, Nor do I care of what they say. |

Ah, I remember that chapter of Don Quixote when he charges those windmills fancying them to be giants...interesting poem. Poeminister "...no single sound too rude Upon thy slumber shall intrude, Our thoughts, our souls- O God above! In every deed shall mingle, love." --Edgar Allan Poe (from Serenade) |

I'm glad this was in fun, or Severn would have a fit, and you would hear about it. You are the master of poetry, structured, of course. You phrase together words in a way that's beyond genious. And I am following behind in admiration. Your friend, Sancho Panza |

Sy, the windmill of your mind spins me into a world where I could close my eyes and listen and be happy. |
