There are no heros here,
No day to banish the night,
Because this night is far more glorious,
Than a hero could ever be.
Many small idols shine their light around,
Scattered here and there like splintered glass,
Each one as unique and beautiful as the next.
These big time heros come and go,
Nothing they see will make them stop.
And so this world, it is never changed,
I only hope it stays that way.

The tragedy of it is that nobody sees the look of desperation on my face. Thousands and thousands of us, and we're passing one another without a look of recognition.

Wonderful poem. Where are these big time heroes that everyone talks about today? I haven't seen any, but this is an exception. You're a hero in your own right.

Cool poem, kind of reminds me of one I have written, 'Hero's tale', try reading it, the views link in quite well together, I like the bit about the glass, it's a nice metaphor, keep them coming .

Thank you people!  I can't say I like this poem much, but there you go.  It's got a lot to do with where I live I suppose, but that's not why I don't like the poem.

i think this poem reflects more on when and how you live . the way you feel about someone or something . you should be pleased with it , it is truly beautiful like the rest of your work .
