With Abandon

Have you ever known the wind to caution
Have you ever heard of the tide to pause
Fate tends to bring two hearts at random
And love is still love with abandon

I do not know the road I travel
Faces fade in the blur of a dream
But in the shadows is an  image
More vivid then I’ve ever seen

I look into a future wanting
I see into the soul of me
You haunt my waking moments
And dance in my promised dreams

I protect my heart with cold decision
Not from you I wouldn’t dream
But still my guard and sword has risen
An automatic reflex in me

Up ahead I see a tunnel
With neon words that riddle me
Here I go into darkened chasm
For the answers I can not see…..

And knowledge pauses for cautioned breezes
With the warning of tidal flows
But, I run and chase with wild passion
And love the love I give with abandon.

Parker~
Such thoughts of longing and seeking you have portrayed here.

'I look into a future wanting
I see into the soul of me
You haunt my waking moments
And dance in my promised dreams'

You seem drawn to the 'tunnel'
with alluring intrigue.
Wonderfully done.

Parker...you are such a romantic soul. Someone is going to snatch you up and never let go, she's a fool if she does

Mr. Haley, this is breathtaking....I don't know what else to say about it - - You truly are a man full of passion, and that's so hard to find.  You write with fire so intense, your words are white hot...I applaude your ability.   This one will make all the ladies swoon for sure!

you write with such lovely longing and dedication...such a romantic heart...
very nice, very. take care jm

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch
You never knew what I loved in you
I don't know what you loved in me
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be

Such deep thoughts on a beautiful sunny day. I not sure what I can say about this one, except perhaps I agree with Ruth and that the sunshine makes for a great inspiration.

You leave me speechless, yes you do.

Well I want to thank everybody who commented, I don't get on much down here in Florida, and I miss commenting on all your poems.

Marge, all I can say is your very sharp, and see alot behind the words. You must be a mind reader.

Hoot, I hope you mean doesn't and thanks.

Michael, thank you as always.

Femme, thank you, nothing wrong with a little swooning.

Janet, thank you.

Marina, the sun is to inspire, thanks.

Martie, thank you very much.

Cerenity, I am very glad you liked, thanks for reading it.

Butterflies, thank you, my head is getting bigger by the moment.

Corinne, thank you, and your smile speaks for you. The sands are cool here in Orlando,
I hope to get over to the big pond soon,
and some ocean sands. So do you sun bath much, now that thought make me speehless!

Denise, thank you very much.

Severn, glad you liked.

Devina, all is fine, and please do melt, I don't think I should go there. Maybe I should, so please continue....

This is such a wonderful piece, and being that it's straight from Florida how could I resist not to put it straight back to the top where it belongs.

Parker~

I do have a crystal ball !
But it appears to be cloudy ...
as I cannot see where you are in Orlando.
I'm only 18 miles west of Orlando !
Stay off of Orange Blossom Trail !

Parker~
The infamous 'trail'
OBT for short ..
where hookers ply their trade
and sinners cavort.

The only 'tunnel' you'll find there
is the tunnel of the funnel ...
where your money will drain
faster than you can count it.

Have a wonderful time.
You are a hop, skip and jump away
from my front door.
Turkey Lake is a lovely resort area.
You gonna do the 'mouse' thing.
Be sure and check out Church Street Station.
Isn't the weather just wonderful?
Enjoy, my friend.
