A WHISPER FROM DREAM

On child's swing in softest sway,
She turns her head, she looks my way.
Seductive eyes giving of gleam
I've only ever held in dream.

Her shining hair, a sultry tease
Of golden waves upon the breeze.
Her lips, the plush pink of a rose
Longing to bloom at Fate's disclose.

I can't help but fall to the eyes
Of love welling in sweet surprise.
Nor feign the hand of heart found weak
From the soft white touch of her cheek.

Come delicate to calloused fingers,
A moment froze in time yet lingers.
The lightest whisper falls away -
Upon one word I hear her say.

Releasing soul from chrysalis
With wings of love to find her kiss
Beneath the lover's moon abeam,
I wake to find ‘tis but a dream.

Yet by one word so soft-spoken,
Holds my heart promise, unbroken.
By wish, by sigh, if Hope's endeavor,
She whispers to me now, "forever".

Oh, Michael~
You cause deep *sighs* to be emitted in admiration of your talent.

This is 'magic'.
'Yet by one word so soft-spoken,
Holds my heart promise, unbroken.
By wish, by sigh, if Hope's endeavor,
She whispers to me now, "forever".'

To sleep and dream your dreams would be to experience of love.  No matter what is taken, they cannot take our dreams.

In our escape to dreams we float on the silvery wings of perfection, your words are perfection all its own.  You transport me mind and soul to a world where there is no pain and there are no tears.  Thank you sweet Michael.

And you did it again! You are amazing. This one is my favorite by you yet!! You simply take my breath away with your stunning words, powerful meanings, huge heart, and way with the English language. To say you are a good poet, would be an understatement. You are a wonderful poet. I sit in awe of your work.

With deepest admiration

Michael ~ ~

With a brush and a stroke of loveless pen
you have done it once again,
taken art to highest form
made me feel so soft and warm...

I was away and did not see
this wonderful piece of poetry
but by perchance a stroke of key
led me to your words lovely.

Now I must make adventure
to see what other forms of treasure
you've concocted during my being away ~
and surely they will hold me in love's sway.

Well done, Dear Sir!

Michael, a fantastic romantic poet you are. Its nice to see you in different modes. I'm glad I'm not a woman, cause I'd be melting too.
I give this a factor 10 (highest rating) on
the swooning scale. You are now a master swooner, enjoy all those sigh's, they are so very sweet.

Sunshine, thank you for resurfacing this while I was gone.  You flatter me with your poetic reply.  I'm so glad this piece moved you so.

Toe, you know I don't even mess with those other publications - if the Toerag Tribune likes it, well then I am smiling for sure.  Thanks bud.

Parker, LOL on the "swooning scale"...  Of course, swooning can also mean floundering... been doing much of that lately...    Glad you liked it though.

Thank you everyone for the kind replies.
