The day I caught the butterfly I do not know on whose behest, It yours or mine or ours the quest? To feed upon this nectars seem And feel the valid of this dream. I swear I do not know the true, A fantasy, or really you? Did I capture the butterfly, Or was the butterfly just I? Alas, I've caught this dream this cast. But on the very edge of last. And once again I'll spin the thread, Cocoon back to the living dead. To dream once more with inner eye, To dream I caught my butterfly. To spawn once more a cast come true. To dawn once more the real of you. God grant the muse come true again, And I care not how, where, or when. |

Elusive is the butterfly you think you've caught flying by with net of gossamar and words that care but you cannot capture free and fair Another lovely poem, Sy [This message has been edited by Martie (edited 03-11-2000).] |

Seymour~ You set the butterfly to wing with just the touch of your heart sing. Graced the pages of the book captured illusions with just one look. Through minds eye all a'flutter on wings of softest yellowed butter. Beauty of elusive wing will return to your heart's sing. When upon the dream of cast she will return to you at last. Folding in the threads of dream wrapping cocoon of ever seem. *You, kind sir, are inspiration personified. You cause me to float through flowers scent. Thank you. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Nan, oh Nan the artisan, Reminds me of a sweet yulan. Pretty witty and always true. I think that I"m in love with you. *L* Sy Martie, The butterfly came to me, And spread her wings for me to see. I touched her for an instants time. And that's what set the bells to chime. *L* Sy |

The butterfly that you have sought I think most surely you have caught With words of magical delight How could this butterfly now take flight?! So very lovely, my friend ..... |

Dear sy, oh sy To catch a butterfly Spread her wings and up she'll fly To try to reach the pale blue sky You captured her here upon the page And set the scene upon the stage Your dream of that butterfly so real captured my heart, which you did steal Keep all the windows of your mind open Anne Rooks |

Ah, the beauty of the butterfly- Captured with your silver ink, Wings sprayed in blues and pinks, Fluttering with delicate grace, Dancing through this passionate place. Beautiful read! *Krista Knutson* I do this so this world will know that it will not change me....-GB |
